solar construction

J. White Contracting, Inc. has experience in the construction of both post driven and ballast mounted solar fields. Many of our solar fields have been built on public landfills making us responsible for the protection of the landfill cap. We build access roads, install erosion control, perform cuts and fills, install drainage, excavate and backfill for electric conduit and install concrete pads. We are not responsible for the installation of the solar panels themselves, but work with our partners to ensure the job is completed accurately and efficiently.

Past Projects
Spofford Pond Road Solar Field in Boxford, MA
Work consisted of building a new road, installing over one thousand concrete ballast blocks on crushed stone pads, and installing new concrete pads for transformers and switch gear.

Merrimack Street Solar Field in Woburn, MA
This was the largest land fill solar project in eastern MA. Work consisted of erosion control, building over 3,500 feet of access road and formed and poured concrete pads. J. White Contracting, Inc. performed all onsite restoration including new drainage swale.

Central Street Solar Field in Rowley, MA
Installed a temporary access road way, leveled entire field and graded to accommodate new grades for solar panels. Excavated and backfilled for electric conduit, installed precast concrete pads, and replaced existing culvert with RCP pipe.
